Seiko's new limited-edition Prospex stainless-steel watches now available to buy
Seiko's yellow and orange Prospex divers now have prices in three markets, and one of them is already discounting.
Seiko Singapore has listed both references at SGD 899.30 — the listing shows two units of each in stock. Seiko India has them at 75,000 INR. In Thailand, Central is selling them at THB 22,325, marked down five percent from a THB 23,500 list and tagged as exclusive to the retailer.
All three figures include local tax, at 9 percent in Singapore, 18 percent in India and 7 percent in Thailand. Minus that, the Thai price is the lowest at roughly $631, against about $644 in Singapore and $666 in India. The listings also confirm the reference numbers. Seiko's August announcement used HBB003 and HBB004; the retail references carry a K1 suffix, making them HBB003K1 and HBB004K1.
One detail wasn't there in the original announcement. Both watches ship in what Seiko describes as a special box. Specifications otherwise match August. Each of them have a 41.7 mm stainless steel case at 12.3 mm thick, rated as a 200 m diver's watch. You also get a black rotating bezel, a date window and Lumibrite on the hands and hour markers. The bracelet is stainless-steel.
The watch is powered by the 4R35 automatic, which Seiko confirms at approximately 41 hours of power reserve. It winds by hand as well as through wrist motion.
Both colorways are limited to 2,500 pieces each and excluded from the Japanese market. Seiko announced the pair through its Indian Instagram account in August (alongside other channels) without confirming at the time whether India would receive them; it has, alongside at least two other Asia-Pacific markets.
Whether either colorway reaches buyers outside the region is still unclear.
