Seiko unveils 3 new compact limited-editions with mother-of-pearl dial, lab-grown diamonds

Seiko has put a flat ¥38,500 premium on the limited-edition treatment in its new Lukia Grow autumn collection. The square HEG004J costs ¥102,300 against ¥63,800 for the regular HEG001J, which shares its case size and its quartz caliber 4N30. The tonneau HEE007J costs ¥141,900 against ¥103,400 for the HEE006J, using the same champagne-gold-plated titanium case.

What the premium buys is a Liberty Fabrics swap strap on a quick-release fitting, a matching printed box Seiko says doubles as a pen case, a mother-of-pearl dial, and two lab-grown diamonds at 1 and 7 o'clock.

The collection consists of three new references, three case shapes, three movements. HEG004J is a 20 x 28.9 mm steel rectangle on quartz caliber 4N30, with an onyx crown and the Wiltshire Bud print. HEE007J is a 24.6 x 37.4 mm titanium tonneau running the 1B32 solar radio caliber, good for six months per full charge and tuned to Japanese, Chinese, American and German signals, paired with Chive and bordeaux Roman numerals. HEA005J is the outlier: a 28.6 mm round case on the hand-windable 2R05 automatic, 21 jewels, roughly 40 hours. It gets berry-shaped metal parts and the yellow Phoebe print instead, at the same ¥102,300 as the diamond-set square.

This is the second Lukia Liberty release of 2026. February's pair, SSQW103 and SSQW104, was limited to 500 pieces each at ¥127,600, and SSQW103 had the same Chive fabric now fitted to HEE007J (worked into a navy dial instead).

All three feature curved sapphire and 10-bar resistance, and all three are capped for Japan alone: 700, 700 and 600, or 2,000 watches. Retail begins 9 October, from roughly $640 to $885 converted.
