The TP-Link Deco 8 Ultra and Archer 8 Ultra have been formally introduced. These are among the first consumer WiFi 8 routers, and the company is promising up to 22Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds and wide coverage.

TP-Link has unveiled the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra, which also happen to be among the first consumer WiFi 8 routers. Of the two, the former, the Archer BN800, has a tri-band setup and is said to feature 18 internal high-performance antennas.

Per the brand, the Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 can offer up to 19Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds, and it's said to be able to "provide strong, consistent coverage." There's 10Gbps wired connectivity, and the WiFi 8 router has a sleek overall design, featuring what seems to be a built-in LED in the middle.

As for the Deco 8 Ultra BN22000, TP-Link claims that a three-pack can provide up to 9,800 square feet of coverage, and that such a setup also supports over 200 connected devices. As for speeds, the claimed aggregate wireless speed is up to 22Gbps, and this WiFi 8 router also has 10Gbps wired connectivity.

For comparison, a three-pack Deco 7 Elite setup, which is based on WiFi 7, offers coverage up to 9,000 square feet and an aggregated wireless speed of up to 20 Gbps (3-pack Deco 7 Pro curr. $399.98 on Amazon). Getting back to the new WiFi 8 routers, there's no concrete word on the pricing details, but TP-Link says that they will be available to pre-order starting from September 30, 2026.

The lineup will also be showcased at IFA 2026, and TP-Link has hinted that new WiFi 8 products, including range extenders and adapters, are set to be available in Q1 and Q2 2027.
