Huawei officially launches new flagship OLED tablet

Huawei has introduced the new MatePad Pro 12-inch in China. The tablet is available in standard and Enjoyment Edition models. The standard model uses the Kirin T93 chipset, while the lower-priced Enjoyment Edition is equipped with the Kirin T93A, though the company has not detailed the performance differences between the two chipsets.

Additionally, the standard model features Huawei’s second-generation Red Maple multispectral color sensor and supports 4K rear video recording, while the Enjoyment Edition lacks both features. Most other specifications are shared between the two models.

Design and color options

The tablet comes with a circular camera housing, similar to the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. It measures 264.2 x 172.9 x 4.7 mm. The tablet weighs approximately 439g, while configurations with the Soft Light display weigh 454g. Huawei offers the tablet in Cherry Blossom Pink Gold, Glowing Blue, Floating White, Bright Moon Silver, and Space Gray colorways.

Key specifications

The new MatePad Pro sports a 12-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3,036 x 1,952 pixels. It features a 93% screen-to-body ratio, 3.55mm bezels, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The device is also offered with a Soft Light display, which Huawei claims delivers 30% better anti-reflection performance than the 2025 MatePad Pro 12.2-inch Soft Light Edition.

The tablet has a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an LED flash. For selfies, the MatePad Pro has a 12MP front-facing camera. It packs a 10,400mAh dual-cell battery and ships with a 66W power adapter. Notably, it also supports up to 40W wired reverse charging.

Other specifications include Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB 3.1 Gen 1, DisplayPort 1.2 output, and a quad-speaker setup. On the software side, the tablet runs HarmonyOS 6.1.

The standard model is available in the following configurations:

• 12GB/256GB: CNY 5,999 (~$888)
• 12GB/256GB with Soft Light display: CNY 7,199 (~$1,066)
• 12GB/512GB with keyboard bundle: CNY 8,399 (~$1,244)
• 12GB/512GB with Soft Light display and keyboard bundle: CNY 9,199 (~$1,362)

The Huawei MatePad Pro Enjoyment Edition is available in three configurations:

• 12GB/256GB: CNY 5,699 (~$844)
• 12GB/256GB with Soft Light display: CNY 6,499 (~$962)
• 12GB/512GB with keyboard bundle: CNY 7,699 (~$1,140)

Both models are available for pre-order in China, with sales scheduled to begin on August 14, 2026.
