Huawei MatePad Pro Max arrives in Germany as the world's thinnest 13-inch tablet with 3K 144 Hz OLED

The Huawei MatePad Pro Max goes on sale in Germany today, priced at €1,099 for the Space Gray model and €1,299 for the blue variant bundled with the Glide Keyboard. For context, the tablet launched globally on May 7, 2026. Huawei claimed that it is the world's thinnest and lightest tablet in its class.
At its slimmest point, the MatePad Pro Max measures just 4.7 mm and weighs 499 grams for the standard edition — or 509 grams for the PaperMatte Edition. It is the first tablet to receive TÜV Rheinland Ultra-thin Bending Resistance Certification, considering there's a 60% improvement in bending resistance over its predecessor.
The 13.2-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte display runs at 3000×2000 resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, 1600 nits peak brightness, and uses nano-level etching tech to minimze glare, with 3.55 mm bezels and a 94% screen-to-body ratio.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NearLink, and USB-C 3.1. The 10,400 mAh battery supports 66 W fast charging and 40 W wired reverse charging. The optional Glide Keyboard adds six rows of keys, 1.8 mm key travel, and an integrated stylus slot that charges the M-Pencil Pro.
Software-wise, the device runs HarmonyOS 4.3 and supports Live Multitask, allowing up to three apps simultaneously, alongside PC-level WPS Office with AI tools for document editing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Buyers purchasing through the Huawei Online Store or the Berlin flagship store before July 31 receive a 12-month warranty extension, a free pair of FreeBuds Pro 4 (curr. $159 on Amazon), the M-Pencil Pro, and a €100 discount code.
