Amazon quietly refreshes the Fire HD 10 after nearly three years

Amazon released the Fire HD 10 tablet (13th gen) almost three years ago, and while it is overdue for a successor, there has been no news of one yet. However, a new report says that the tablet is now available in a new configuration.
The Fire HD 10 originally launched in two configurations a 3GB RAM version with 32GB of storage and a version with the same RAM but 64GB of storage. Now, Amazon has quietly released the Fire HD 10 tablet with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and like the other two variants, it has a microSD card slot for an additional 1TB of storage.
The new 4GB RAM version is available to buy now on Amazon for $154.99 (with lockscreen ads) and in Black. There's no version without lockscreen ads, but after purchase, you can pay an additional $15 fee to remove ads from your device.
With more RAM, the new version of the Fire HD 10 tablet should offer an improvement in areas such as multitasking, as the device should be able to keep more apps open in the background. There should also be a slight improvement in gaming.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet has a 10.1-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek MT7176A octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, has a 5MP camera on both sides, and boasts a battery life of up to 13 hours. It charges via USB-C and supports 15W charging. Other features are Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, stereo speakers, an audio jack, and a microphone.
