RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro launches with Steam support and liquid cooling

The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is the direct successor to the RedMagic Astra. With this new model, RedMagic aims to stand out primarily with extreme performance in a compact form factor.
To achieve this, the manufacturer has equipped the device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which, thanks to liquid cooling, doesn’t need to be severely throttled even during extended gaming sessions. RedMagic uses a transparent cover and RGB lighting to highlight the liquid cooling system on the back of the tablet as a design accent. The tablet features a 9.06-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 185 Hz, an impressive peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits, and a full-screen brightness of 1,100 nits.
The tablet comes with a PC emulator that also supports Steam. However, it’s important to note that such emulators are not compatible with all games, and a gamepad is recommended for more comfortable gaming sessions. The 8,300 mAh battery can be charged at up to 80 watts via two USB-C ports. Nubia has integrated a fingerprint sensor into the power button and a red slider that activates gaming mode. The tablet is 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs 363 grams.
