Two new Xiaomi flagship tablets inch closer to launch in China

The flagship Xiaomi Pad 8 series is expected to be succeeded by the Pad 9 series later this year. The series may initially include two tablets: the Xiaomi Pad 9 and the Pad 9 Pro. Previously, the standard model received certification in China, pointing to 45W fast charging support. Now, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro has cleared 3C certification alongside the Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro

A new tablet with the model number "2612CRPFFC" has cleared 3C certification. According to reputable tipster Digital Chat Station, the model number corresponds to the Pad 9 Pro. The certification suggests support for 67W fast charging. Although the certification provides no further details, the tipster claims that the Pad 9 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 8 series chipset and a large battery.

For context, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro (curr. $599.99 on Amazon) launched in September 2025 with an 11.2-inch IPS LCD panel, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 9,200mAh battery with 67W charging.

Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro

Another tablet with the model number "M367FC" has also cleared 3C certification and is expected to be the Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro. The tablet may support 120W fast charging. A previous leak suggested that the Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro will feature the company's in-house Xring O3 chipset. The tablet is tipped to come with a 12.5-inch display, a 12,000mAh battery, a 50MP primary camera, and a 32MP selfie camera.

The 3C certifications indicate that both tablets are likely to be released in China. The Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is also expected to reach international markets, although the Pad 8s Pro may remain limited to China, as its predecessor did not receive an official global release.
