Motorola launches 12.1-inch tablet with 9 JBL speakers
Motorola has officially launched the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India. The tablet appears to be a rebranded version of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 (curr. $349.99 on Lenovo US).
The Moto Pad 70 Groove has a metal body with IP52-rated dust and water resistance. It measures 22.7mm in thickness (including the speaker bump) or 6.8mm without the speaker bump, and weighs 775 grams. It comes in a single Pantone Blue Surf colorway and features a built-in kickstand.
The tablet features a JBL-tuned nine-speaker system that comprises four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators, with support for Dolby Atmos. Notably, the tablet can function as a Bluetooth speaker when paired with another device. However, it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It sports a 12.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Moto Pad 70 Groove is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The tablet supports storage expansion of up to 2TB via a microSD card.
It has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Furthermore, it packs a 10,200mAh battery and ships with a 68W fast charger. The Pad 70 Groove supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The Moto Pad 70 Groove runs Android 16, with the company promising two major Android upgrades and four years of security updates.
The tablet will go on sale in India on August 7, 2026. It is listed in a single 8GB/256GB configuration for INR 38,999 (~$408).
