An upcoming Samsung tablet with the model number "SM-X848U" has appeared in the FCC database, pointing to a cellular variant of the Galaxy Tab S12+ for the US market. The certification reveals connectivity features of the upcoming device.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series is a flagship tablet lineup that launched in September 2025, comprising two models: the standard Galaxy Tab S11 (curr. $749 on Amazon) and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Meanwhile, the next-generation series is expected to include the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.

A new Samsung device has now appeared in the FCC database. The listing reveals that the device has the model number "SM-X848U", which reportedly (via 91mobiles) corresponds to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+. Samsung typically uses the "U" suffix for devices intended for the US market, so the model number "SM-X848U" likely belongs to the US variant of the Galaxy Tab S12+.

The FCC certification also reveals that the tablet will support 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and GNSS connectivity. The tablet will also offer S Pen and microSD card support.

Other specifications of the Galaxy Tab S12+ have not been disclosed yet. However, previous leaks point to a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 series chipset. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S12 series later in 2026, possibly alongside the Galaxy S26 FE.
