Affordable Teclast tablet debuts with 14-inch display and up to 1TB storage support

The Teclast T70 Pro is a newly introduced tablet, and while the company hasn't confirmed the price yet, it should be affordable. It's powered by the Helio G100, an entry-level processor from MediaTek.

While it's a SoC that powers affordable tablets, it's good enough for everyday productivity and media consumption. Teclast has paired the Helio chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There's a microSD slot, which can hold up to a 1TB card.

A big highlight of the Teclast T70 Pro is the 14-inch display, which has a resolution of 2240x1400 pixels. The 1440p resolution is a plus, especially for a tablet powered by the Helio G100, but the display has a 60Hz refresh rate, which is a bummer.

Teclast highlights that users can take proper advantage of the large screen with the PC mode, which aims to offer a desktop-like experience. There's multi-window support, and even though the SoC isn't powerful, the tablet should be able to handle light multitasking.

There's a 10,000mAh battery inside, which, paired with the low-power G100 SoC, should lead to long runtimes. However, the fast charging support maxes out at 18W, meaning that it will take a while to get the battery from 0% to 100%.

Among the other notable features are a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie shooter, a relatively slim design, and a quad-speaker setup. Teclast hasn't shared the launch timeline and price of the tablet yet, but Blackview has a similarly configured tablet, the Link 8, available globally (also on Amazon).
