Affordable Teclast tablet launches with microSD card slot and thin design

Teclast has introduced the updated P50 tab, and the 2026 model keeps the price tag low while offering features that are more than enough for basic users. This new affordable tablet is powered by the Unisoc T7250, which is an entry-level option with an 8-core configuration.

The company has paired this low-power processor with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which can be expanded by up to 32GB through the virtual memory feature. There's 128GB of built-in storage, which can also be expanded through the microSD card slot. This slot can hold up to a 1TB card.

On the front, the Teclast P50 2026 has an 11-inch IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While it won't be as smooth as the 120Hz panels found on some of the mid-range tablets, it's still better than a regular 60Hz screen. There aren't any fancy eye care technologies, but the company highlights that the tab has multiple modes, including a reading and a dim mode.

As for the design, the tablet is said to measure 8mm at its thinnest and weigh 525 grams (about 1.16lb). While it has a thin and light form factor, there's an 8,000mAh battery inside, which should offer good runtimes after a full charge. Teclast didn't highlight any fancy fast charging support, but the tablet charges via USB-C.

Support for Widevine L1, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-sim support, stereo speakers, a 5MP front camera, and a 13MP rear shooter are among the other highlights of the new Teclast P50. This affordable tablet is currently available on AliExpress at $106.6, and there's a similarly specced pad, called the Tabwee T50, on Amazon going for $125.99.
