The Bigme B6 Black & White version is now available to buy in China, following its launch earlier this year. The color version is also available in a cheaper configuration now.

Almost a year ago, Bigme released the B6 Color e-reader with a color E Ink display. Then earlier this year, a version of the e-reader with a monochrome (B/W) E Ink display was released. This Black and White version has now made its way to China.

Save for the display, the Bigme B6 Black & White version has the same specs and features as the Bigme B6 Color. The display is a 6-inch panel with a 300 PPI, and unlike some e-readers which have a recessed display, this sits flush with the frame. The display also has a matte finish with anti-glare and an adjustable warm and cold front light.

Powering it is a MediaTek octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There's a microSD card slot for adding up to an additional 1TB of storage. It packs a 2,100mAh battery that charges via USB-C and features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a speaker, and a microphone. It runs Android 14 out of the box.

The Bigme B6 Black & White e-reader costs $179 (excluding taxes) on the manufacturer's international website, but in China, the e-reader is priced at CNY 899 (~$133/€116) on JD.com. ITHome also reports that it costs as low as CNY 854.05 (~$126/€110) in some regions with discounts applied. The e-reader is available in white only, but buyers can purchase a magnetic leather case in a variety of colors.

In related news, the Bigme B6 Color seems to have silently received a cheaper version, and it is available to buy on Amazon. This variant has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and it is available to buy now for $165.97. This is cheaper than the 4GB RAM version which costs $179 (without tax) and $194 (tax included) on Bigme's website. Surprisingly, this 2GB version doesn't appear on Bigme's International and Chinese websites and there's no official mention of its release.
