Samsung has officially acknowledged the Galaxy Tab S12 and Galaxy S26 FE for the first time. The Galaxy Tab S12 was mentioned among the company's premium products scheduled for the second half of 2026, although the exact tablet lineup remains unconfirmed. The Galaxy S26 FE was also confirmed to be in the works.

Samsung held its Q2 2026 earnings call on July 30, 2026. During the call, Daniel Araujo, vice president of Samsung's Mobile Experience division, confirmed upcoming Galaxy devices.

Araujo said Samsung would focus on the successful launch of new premium products during the second half of 2026, including the Galaxy Tab S12. While responding to a question about the financial difficulties faced by Samsung’s mobile division amid the RAM crisis, the executive said:

To manage this [financial difficulty], we’re focused on maintaining strong sales momentum of the S26 series, while ensuring the successful launch of new premium products coming out in the second half, such as the new foldable series, Tab S12, and Watch Ultra 2."

Furthermore, the Samsung executive confirmed the existence of the Galaxy S26 FE, which is expected to be a more affordable model in the S26 series. However, the launch timeline and other details about the smartphone were not officially disclosed.

We will maintain S26 momentum through sustained marketing and the launch of the new S26 FE, while expanding upselling in the mid-to-high-end segments by bringing our core AI experiences to the A series" - Daniel Araujo

Leaked details of the Galaxy Tab S12 series and Galaxy S26 FE

Previous leaks have suggested that the Galaxy Tab S12 lineup may include the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, although Samsung has not confirmed the exact models in the upcoming lineup. The US cellular variant of the Galaxy Tab S12+ recently appeared in an FCC certification, revealing support for 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and GNSS connectivity.

Both tablets are expected to use a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 series chipset. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is tipped to feature a 14.6-inch AMOLED display, an 11,600mAh battery, and 45W charging.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature the Exynos 2500 chipset and support 45W wired charging. A previous leak suggests the smartphone may come in three color options and feature a rear camera housing design similar to that of the Galaxy S26 (curr. $780 on Amazon).
