The TCL P80 Ultra is TCL's first smartphone that combines its NxtPaper technology with an OLED panel. Packed with several display features, the phone also has triple rear cameras including a telephoto lens, 45W charging, and an IP68 rating.

TCL has launched three new smartphones at IFA 2026, and among them is the P80 Ultra which is its first smartphone that combines its NxtPaper technology with an OLED display, unlike previous models that have LCD panels.

The TCL P80 Ultra packs a 6.83-inch display with NxtPaper technology with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3200 nits of peak brightness, and a 2772 × 1280 resolution. It's not just an ordinary panel as it has got features such as TCL's Nano Crystal Shield Glass which it claims results in zero glare under all light conditions; and circular polarization filters instead of linear polarization filters, which results in a clearer display when you are wearing sunglasses. TCL also claims that it has been able to reduce harmful blue light to as low as 2.9%.

The TCL P80 Ultra packs a handful of display features.

As is the case with TCL's NxtPaper devices, users can turn on the feature using the slider on the right side of the phone. When Max Ink mode is activated, the TCL P80 Ultra kills app notifications excluding calls and messages and sleeps background apps, thus extending battery life to up to 7 days.

Under the hood is MediaTek's Dimensity 7400 Elite processor and it is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For cameras, the TCL P80 Ultra has a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 50MP OIS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There's also a 32MP front-facing camera in the notch in the display.

The TCL P80 Ultra has a smart eye-care assistant.

The P80 Ultra packs a 5,800mAh battery with support for 45W fast wired charging. The phone ships with over 500 books and has an AI feature that can convert books into audiobooks or a podcast. It also has a smart eye-care assistant that will alert you if you are to close to the display, slouching, if the display is too bright or too dark, and if you need to take a break.

There's no mention of the exact Android version, but the TCL P80 Ultra will receive 4 OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates. The phone also has stereo speakers with DTS surround sound, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, eSIM support, IP68 dust and water resistance rating, and has passed the MIL-STD 810H test

Available in Midnight Blue, Burgundy, and Sunlit Gold, the TCL P80 Ultra is priced at €549 for the 256GB version and €599 for the 512GB version. It is available to purchase now on Amazon.de, and it will come with a matching case (and a charger in the box in some markets).
