Casio unveils two new metal bezel G-Shock 2500 watches with magnetic hand mount, 200m WR
Casio has revealed two fresh full-metal watches as a part of a never-seen-before G-Shock 2500 series — the GMC-2500D-1AJF in black and the GMC-2500D-1A2JF in blue-gray. They both are scheduled for a November 2026 release in Japan at ¥49,500 (about $318) apiece.
Both feature a 46.7 x 43.8 x 12.9 mm stainless-steel case and stainless-steel bracelet, weighing 138 g, with a mineral crystal and 200 m of water resistance. Casio's copy describes the design as a return to the first G-Shock, the DW-5000C, reworked into a two-eye analog layout: a small-seconds subdial is present opposite a three-digit rolling date window, both set into the dial rather than through it. A "Shock Resist" mark is printed on the tip of the small-seconds hand.
The detail Casio is pushing hardest is how the hour and minute hands are mounted. Instead of being pinned to a shaft, they are held in place magnetically, which Casio says lets them shift under a hard impact instead of bending or snapping at all. The same mechanism can also move the hands clear of the date window when they would otherwise sit over it, then return them once the window is reachable again.
Power comes from a standard battery rated for roughly two years. There is a second-hand sleep function built in to help stretch that further. There is no solar charging and no Bluetooth here, which puts real distance between this series and Casio's existing GMC-B2100 full-metal line. Those are Tough Solar and Bluetooth-equipped at roughly double the price.
The bracelet uses a one-push three-fold clasp and fits wrists from 150 to 205 mm. Accuracy is rated at plus or minus 15 seconds a month, and the LED backlight glows amber.
