Casio launches four new analog G-Shocks with unique date display, magnetic hand mount

Casio has also added a resin tier to its new G-Shock 2500 series — there are four colorways with the GAC-2500 reference: GAC-2500-1AJF in black, GAC-2500-3AJF in green, GAC-2500-7AJF in white and GAC-2500-9AJF in yellow. All four are scheduled for a November 2026 release in Japan at ¥20,900 (about $134) each, less than half what the stainless-steel bezel GMC-2500D pair announced alongside them costs.

The case and bezel are resin, made partly from biomass plastic, on a matching resin band rated for wrists from 145 to 215 mm. At 46.7 x 44.5 x 12.7 mm and 47 g, the GAC-2500 is close in footprint to the metal GMC-2500D but roughly a third of the weight. Water resistance is again 200 m, and the crystal is mineral.

The dial layout has been carried over from the metal models: a small-seconds subdial opposite a three-digit rolling date window, both set into a molded plastic dial Casio says is shaped to read as three-dimensional rather than flat. The date wheel is color-matched to each case. Hour and minute hands are again held magnetically rather than pinned to a shaft; Casio's own notes add that the minute hand specifically can shake or shift briefly under a hard knock before settling back into position within a few minutes.

Power comes from a standard battery rated for about two years, extended by a second-hand sleep function the manual describes as user-triggered: stopping the second hand manually cuts power draw when the watch isn't being read. Accuracy is rated at plus or minus 15 seconds a month, the backlight is amber LED, and lume is Neobrite.
