Hamilton launches new Khaki Field watch with stainless steel bracelet
Hamilton is back with another Khaki Field Murph. This time, the American watchmaker has unveiled the Khaki Field Murph 38 mm, featuring a new interstellar comet-inspired blue-to-black dial while retaining the familiar 38 mm case. For context, the Khaki Field Power Reserve ships with a 40 mm case.
The case of the watch is paired with a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp mechanism. The blue-to-black dial of the Murph is adorned with a grained stardust-inspired texture, slightly domed numerals, and cathedral-shaped hands that retain Murph’s signature elements. The dial of the watch has a minimalist design. There’s no date or day complication here. The numerals and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova luminescent material, ensuring visibility in low lights.
Speaking of powered things, the watch is powered by Hamilton’s in-house developed H-10 caliber. This three-hand automatic movement boasts a power reserve of 80 hours and features a Nivachron balance spring to resist magnetic fields and improve accuracy. The H-23 caliber equipped Khaki Field Power Reserve 40 mm also offers the same 80 hours of power reserve.
Furthermore, the timepiece has a synthetic sapphire crystal on top of the dial for scratch resistance with anti-reflection treatment on the inside. Plus, it has 100 m (10 bar) water resistance.
As for price, the Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38 mm costs $1,045 on a bracelet. Buyers can purchase the watch directly from Hamilton’s official website. Unfortunately, there’s no leather strap option available.
