Timex launches new Marlin automatic watch with classic Tonneau case and white dial

Timex has expanded its mechanical watch lineup with the new Marlin Tonneau TW2Y84300IK watch in India. The company’s Marlin Chatham Automatic features a vintage-inspired Tonneau case with softly curved edges. Speaking of the case, you get a 36 mm polished stainless-steel case, measuring 12 mm (0.47 inches) in thickness.
The design of the dial is pretty simple. There’s no date or day complication here. The white dial is paired with Breguet numerals and three analog hands. Interestingly, the same Arabic numerals are also used on Timex’s Marlin Quartz references. The crystal is mineral, which provides basic scratch resistance. Furthermore, the watch has 50 m (5 bar) water resistance, which can handle normal water splashes. However, it is not suitable for swimming or other water sports activities.
Timex doesn’t officially disclose the exact caliber on its Indian product page. What we know is that the watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical automatic movement. The automatic movement is visible through the exhibition caseback, adding to the watch's mechanical appeal. Timex offers the TW2Y84300IK with only a black leather strap equipped with quick-release spring bars. Unfortunately, there’s no stainless steel bracelet option from Timex.
The Timex Marlin Tonneau TW2Y84300IK is priced at ₹21,495 (~$204.75). Buyers can now purchase the watch directly from Timex India’s official website.
