Certain users are reporting faceplate and bezel issues with Galaxy Watch Ultra from 2024 and 2025.
Some Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra owners report that the bezel and faceplate are completely detaching from the frame despite no apparent impact or water damage. Whether this reflects a widespread defect remains uncertain, and Samsung has not publicly addressed the issue.

Complaints are surfacing that the bezel and faceplate on some Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra units are separating from the frame without any obvious impact damage. One owner reported on Reddit that the entire assembly fell off while simply turning their wrist to open a door, claiming there had been no significant impact or exposure to water. The user states that the watch was the 2025 model and had been worn for roughly a year.

The incident is not entirely isolated. Two other Reddit threads — from one year ago and the other from two days ago — report similar problems with the 2025 and 2024 models, respectively. An affected owner in the latter thread claims Samsung initially promised warranty coverage before charging close to $300 for the repair. Furthermore, a Facebook post from August 5 provides the following photos of the issue, commenting that the Ultra had only been purchased in March 25 of this year and had suffered "no damage at all."

Even so, the evidence remains thin and largely anecdotal, and it is difficult to establish from these reports alone whether the problem represents a widespread manufacturing defect or a collection of individual failures. The reports are restricted to the first-generation Ultra and its 2025 refresh, with no confirmed cases involving the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Lastly, the cause remains unclear, and Samsung is yet to publicly respond to inquiries about the complaints.
