Timex launches three new Q Chronograph watches with green, ice-blue and khaki dials

Timex has expanded its Q Timex Chronograph lineup with three new 40 mm variants, a month after it showed off three new Q Timex Continental chronographs. The new SKUs are the TW2Y88500, TW2Y88600 and TW2Y88700, with Timex using different dial, bezel and strap combinations to distinguish the trio.
The TW2Y88500 gets the strongest racing aesthetic of the lot. It pairs a green dial with black chronograph subdials and a matching green tachymeter bezel, all housed inside a stainless-steel case and paired with a silver-tone bracelet. Timex has fitted the watch with luminous hands and hour markers, while the bracelet uses quick-release spring bars and a deployant clasp.
The TW2Y88600 uses the same bracelet-equipped configuration but swaps in an ice-blue dial. Three black subdials provide contrast, while the tachymeter bezel is finished in black. At 135.06 g, it is fractionally lighter than the 135.72 g TW2Y88500.
Lastly, TW2Y88700 takes a more restrained route. It combines a khaki-coloured dial with black subdials and a brown tachymeter bezel, while an 18 mm brown leather strap replaces the bracelet. Timex says it sources the leather through the Leather Working Group. The strap also cuts the watch's weight to 78.1 g.
Otherwise, all three watches share the same basic specifications with a 40 mm stainless-steel case measuring 46.5 mm from lug to lug and 15 mm thick. An acrylic crystal protects the dial, water resistance is rated at 50 metres, and a date window is fitted alongside the chronograph.
A quartz analogue movement powered by an SR927SW battery drives the watch. The tachymeter scale can be used with the chronograph to calculate average speed, continuing the motorsport-inspired theme seen across the wider Q Timex Chronograph family.
Timex UK has priced the bracelet-equipped TW2Y88500 and TW2Y88600 at £230, while the leather-strap TW2Y88700 costs £205. All three are currently listed as new models on the company's UK website. The trio should appear on other storefronts shortly.
