Timex’s ’70s-inspired chronograph gets three slick new colorways
Timex is expanding its retro Q Timex Continental Chronograph lineup with three new ’70s-inspired models. Each model features a beautiful radial “CD” dial and compact 36mm case. The new black, ice-blue, and gold-tone variants are now available for $279 each.

Timex isn’t slowing down its retro revival spree. After launching the $149 Retroware Digital and 1976 Lexington Reissue Inspired, the budget-friendly watchmaker has now introduced three new models in its popular Q Timex Continental Chronograph lineup, bringing a sharper, decidedly more compact ’70s motoring aesthetic.

A beautiful radial concentric-ring “CD” dial is the centerpiece of the collection, and it comes in three fresh colors. First up is the classic black dial (TW2Y93200) sporting contrasting silver sub-dials. Then there’s the ice blue variant (TW2Y92400) accented by bold black sub-dials, followed by the two-tone model (TW2Y92300) that features a shimmering gold-tone dial with brown sub-dials and matching gold bezel accents and gold center links on the bracelet.

While the earlier Continental Chronographs leaned into a bolder 40mm footprint with unidirectional rotating bezels and the choice of either leather straps or steel link bracelets, this new lineup embraces true vintage sizing with a downsized 36mm case. Timex has also swapped the rotating bezel for a fixed stationary tachymeter scale and made integrated stainless-steel bracelets standard across all three models.

All three are powered by an analog quartz chronograph movement designed to track elapsed time, and can be used in tandem with the stationary tachymeter bezel to calculate average speed. Meanwhile, luminous in-fill on the hands and markers should make the watches easier to read in low-light conditions.

The new Q Timex Continental Chronograph lineup starts at $259 for the black and blue variants and goes up to $279 for the gold model.
