Timex's affordable 34mm vintage-inspired Marlin Mesh just got even more stylish

Few watches have done more to reshape a brand's modern identity than the Timex Marlin. Timex’s resurgence started with the reissue of the Marlin back in 2017, a faithful recreation of a 1960s Marlin and the first watch featuring Timex's mechanical movement in decades. Since then, the company has continued to build out the Marlin collection with dozens of variations. Now, the company has teamed up with longtime menswear collaborator Todd Snyder for a decidedly more everyday take on the classic mid-century silhouette: the Timex x Todd Snyder Marlin Mesh.

Designed exclusively for Snyder’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway show, the latest iteration leans into a relaxed Mediterranean sea aesthetic and is offered in three radiant sunburst dials. You can choose a silver dial recalling sparkling sunlit water, an aqua blue, or a warm salmon dial capturing a coastal sunset.

While the original 1960s models famously proved they could "take a licking", this modern version prefers the leisure of the Italian Riviera. The watch pairs a 34mm stainless steel case with a finely woven, Milanese-style mesh bracelet. The overall design is quite similar to the 2018 Todd Snyder x Marlin mesh collaboration, which also featured a stainless-steel mesh bracelet. However, there are a few notable changes here, for good or worse.

The 2017 reissue made waves with its hand-wound mechanical caliber; the new Marlin Mesh, however, opts for the everyday convenience of a highly accurate quartz movement. In addition, it swaps the mid-century Arabic numerals for metallic Roman numerals at the quarter hours.

Otherwise, the new Marlin Mesh retains the vintage-style domed acrylic crystal and modest proportions of its predecessors. Its case and bracelet are said to be crafted of tarnish-free stainless steel, and it comes equipped with 18mm quick-release spring bars, which let you effortlessly swap straps without the need for tools. Other highlights include an SR626SW battery and 30 meters of water resistance for protection against splashes.

The Timex x Todd Snyder Marlin Mesh is available now in the US from Timex and Todd Snyder for $199. In the UK, all three models are priced at £165.
