Timex has launched the 1976 Lexington Reissue Inspired watch in the US for $149, reviving its 1970s rectangular dress watch design. It has a 21mm polished stainless steel case, quartz movement and a silver dial with elongated Roman numerals.

Timex has been on a roll the last couple of days, launching a host of new watches like the two new field watches with stainless steel cases and camo dials and the $149 Retroware Digital. The latest addition to that lineup is the 1976 Lexington Reissue Inspired watch, launched in the US for $149. It brings back the brand's rectangular dress watch design from the 1970s, built around a battery-powered quartz movement and classic analog styling rather than a smartwatch feature set.

The silver-tone dial has a vertically brushed texture, elongated Roman numerals, metallic blue hands and a domed mineral crystal.

The case is polished stainless steel, measuring 21mm across with a 36mm lug-to-lug length and an 8.5mm thickness, proportions that lean into the compact case sizing that has been trending back into fashion. Using a standard quartz movement keeps the watch low-maintenance next to a mechanical alternative, and it is part of what allows Timex to keep both the price and the case profile slim.

The dial uses a silver-tone finish with a vertically brushed texture, elongated Roman numerals, and metallic blue hands, topped with a slightly domed mineral crystal that gives the watch a vintage look along with basic scratch resistance.

It ships on an 18mm brown leather strap with a crocodile-grain pattern, made from natural leather and fitted with quick-release spring bars so it can be swapped without special tools. The strap is sized to fit wrists between 135mm and 190mm in circumference. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, a baseline figure that covers hand-washing or light splashes but rules out swimming or showering with the watch on.

The Timex 1976 Lexington Reissue is listed for pre-order on the company's US website.
