Timex’s Deepwater Arctic 200 divers get a seriously good-looking gradient makeover
Timex is freshening up its Deepwater Arctic 200 dive watch with a cool makeover with two striking new dégradé dials. The new models pair retro-inspired styling with a 200-meter water-resistance rating, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, and durable HNBR rubber straps.

Historically, Timex hasn't been the go-to brand for serious diving credentials. But that sentiment changed big time when the Waterbury watchmaker introduced the Deepwater lineup back in 2024, offering classic diver aesthetics and a robust feature set at very accessible prices.

After introducing three Deepwater Arctic models with an unmistakable Omega-inspired aesthetic earlier this year, Timex is back with a refreshed version that puts a fresh spin on the formula with dégradé dials.

The new Deepwater Arctic 200 models trade the stainless steel bracelets found on their predecessors for HNBR rubber straps and, more importantly, get two striking new dégradé dials. Timex is offering two colorways. The first is the blue version, which starts with a rich, saturated blue at the center and gradually darkens toward the edges, playing nicely with the matching blue ceramic bezel and strap.

Then there’s the smoky version, which seems to fade from a lighter charcoal-gray center into an almost black perimeter that blends seamlessly with the black bezel.

The new models keep the same 40.5mm stainless steel case as the earlier model, along with a substantial crown guard that reinforces the watch’s tool-watch credentials. The unidirectional rotating bezel features a ceramic insert with a luminescent pip, while a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the dial. Other noteworthy highlights include a cut-off hour hand and a red-accented arrow-tipped seconds hand.

The new models continue to offer 200 meters of water resistance, backed by a screw-down crown and screw-on case back. Timex says the Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) straps are designed to withstand water, heat, corrosion, and UV exposure, while quick-release spring bars make it easy to swap them out.

Inside, there's a quartz movement, which helps Timex keep the price impressively approachable given the sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel.
