Timex’s new field-watch-style analog watch with brass case arrives in more markets
The Timex TWG027900JQ Main Street Round watch is now officially available in India. It is a compact, vintage-style analog watch that draws inspiration from Timex’s classic design from the late 1970s while adding practical features such as a day-date display and Indiglo illumination found in Timex’s recently released Easy Reader TW2Y12800JQ watch.
Design-wise, the timepiece features a compact 36 mm brass case with a 13.8 mm (0.54 inch) thickness. The case is paired with a matching 18 mm silver-tone stainless-steel expansion bracelet with Timex’s perfect-fit design. A black leather strap with a buckle clasp is also available, giving buyers an alternative strap option.
The black dial is adorned with large, highly legible Arabic numeral hour markers, straight baton-style hour and minute hands, a needle-style second hand, and a day-date window positioned at 3 'o'clock. The company has incorporated an Indiglo backlight into the watch, which further helps improve readability in low-light conditions. Despite boasting a stainless steel bracelet, it weighs around 90 grams (3.17 ounces).
Power comes from a quartz movement. Although the US watchmaker doesn’t disclose the exact movement name. Moreover, it uses a mineral crystal to price the dial and has a 30 m (3 bar) water resistance, making it suitable for everyday splashes but not swimming or snorkeling. As for price, the Timex Main Street Round TWG027900JQ is priced at ₹11,995 (~$125). Interested buyers can now purchase the watch directly from Timex India’s official website.
