Timex expands Pan Am collection with new quartz and automatic GMT watches

Timex has expanded its Pan Am collection with two new Waterbury GMT watches. One has quartz and automatic movements. Both models are now listed on Timex’s UK store.
The Pan Am x Timex Waterbury Automatic GMT (TW2Y94300) first appeared in India in late September, but its arrival on Timex’s UK store marks a wider international rollout. It uses a 41.5 mm brushed stainless-steel case measuring 13.5 mm thick, paired with a 20 mm stainless-steel bracelet and butterfly deployant clasp.
A self-winding GMT movement inside lets wearers track a second time zone with a blue-and-white arrow-tipped GMT hand. Timex also equips the watch with a rotating two-tone 24-hour bezel, a date window at 3 o’clock and luminous hands and markers. A double-domed K1 mineral crystal with an anti-reflective coating covers the silver-white dial, and it's rated to 50 metres of water resistance.
The cheaper TW2Y94600 uses a brushed stainless-steel case that measures 41 mm across and 12 mm thick. A battery-powered quartz GMT movement replaces the automatic mechanism. The design is more overtly aviation-themed, with full Arabic numerals, an orange GMT hand and an impressionistic aeroplane motif occupying the 12 o’clock position. Pan Am branding also appears on the oversized crown.
A date window sits at 3 o’clock, with luminous hands and markers providing some low-light visibility. Timex uses a conventional mineral crystal rather than the automatic model’s double-domed K1 glass. The quartz model weighs 140.31 g and comes on a 20 mm stainless-steel deployant bracelet. Timex lists 50 m water resistance for the UK model.
Both watches draw heavily on Pan Am’s association with international air travel, making the GMT complication an obvious fit for the collaboration. A GMT hand can display a second time zone alongside local time. The Pan Am x Timex Waterbury GMT TW2Y94600 and Waterbury Automatic GMT TW2Y94300 are currently available directly from Timex UK for £290 and £550, respectively.
