Timex's ice-blue Waterbury Heritage chronograph with tachymeter bezel arrives in more markets

Timex has put another listing up for the ice blue Waterbury Heritage Chronograph, this time in India. The watch is on Timex India's store as the TW2Y70600UJ, priced at ₹21,995 with GST included, and it went live on 22 September.

The same reference was previously listed in other markets as the TW2Y70600 since early July at the same price, and the bracelet version, the TW2Y70500, has been there since late May at ₹24,995. Both descriptions are identical, so it's better to treat the two leather listings as one watch rather than two.

Price-wise, ₹21,995 works out to roughly $228 at today's rate, and around $194 once you take the 18% GST out. Timex US is charging $309 for the same reference before sales tax. The UK price is £250, or about $276 with VAT ditched, and the EU store lists it at €289. Timex US also has the leather model out of stock at the moment, while India has it.

The watch is a 39 mm stainless-steel chronograph, 13 mm thick, with vertical brushing on the case and a black steel tachymeter bezel around an ice blue sunray dial. The sub-dials contrast against it in black, the indices are applied, and the hands are lumed. The crystal is domed K1 mineral with an anti-reflective coating, and water resistance is 50 m. It weighs 90 g. The brown leather strap is 20 mm, perforated, and sits on quick-release spring bars.

One note on the movement. Timex India's spec table lists it as quartz. Timex's US, UK and EU pages all call it meca-quartz, a hybrid that runs the chronograph off a mechanical module and gives a sweeping seconds hand. The India listing otherwise reuses Timex's global description word for word.
