Casio’s new titanium MRG limited edition watch with Tough Solar arrives in more markets

Following the Casio international site release last month, the Japanese watchmaker has officially listed the MR-G 30th Anniversary watch on its UK website. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t announced the platinum MRG-B2100HR-1AJR outside Japan. The watch is said to be available in November. However, there is no price information available yet. 

The new MRG-B2100HS-9A limited edition is part of the MR-G 30th anniversary “Haruka” collection and is limited to just 150 pieces worldwide. The timepiece is based on the octagonal MRG-B2100 platform but receives artistic treatment from Hiroto Rakausho, who’s a metal leaf artist from Nishijin in Kyoto. The latticework dial is hand-finished with gold leaf. Casio says the dial of the analog watch is designed to capture the shimmering appearance of powdered metal leaf, with variations between light and dark tones. 

Furthermore, the timepiece has a titanium case paired with a Cobarion bezel and a solid titanium bracelet with a one-press three-fold clasp. The case back carries an MR-G 30TH engraving and individual serial number. Plus, each box also comes with a specially commissioned, gold-leaf-adorned presentation box signed by Rakusho. Measuring 13.6 mm (0.54 inches) and weighing around 122 grams (4.3 oz), the MRG-B2100HS-9A features a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and offers 200-meter (20 bar) water resistance. 

The watch uses Casio’s Tough Solar charging technology and supports both Multi Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. Moreover, it also features shock and magnetic resistance, a screw-lock crown, and Dimond-like coating.
