Casio's new MIP-display, red-backlit GDG-B100 Mudman watches arrive in more markets

The Casio Mudman GDG-B100 series come with red backlights.
Casio has listed all three GDG-B100 Mudman colorways on its UK store at £200 each — none of them are buyable yet. The first Mudman with an MIP display pairs a red LED backlight and step tracking with a CR2032 cell, and it skips the triple sensor.

Casio has listed its new GDG-B100 Mudman on its UK web store, merely days after the watch went official in Japan. All three colorways are up: the black GDG-B100-1, the dark green GDG-B100-1A3 and the sand GDG-B100-1A5. Each one is £200, or $265.

None of them is buyable yet. The listings have an "Available soon – sign up now" button in place of an add-to-cart option, so Casio is taking registrations for a notification rather than orders. All three pages are tagged "New 10/2026", Casio's own dated flag for a current-month release.

$265 looks a little high next to Japan's ¥38,500, but the two are almost level once sales tax comes out: £166.67 against ¥35,000, or about £168. Our leak coverage had the watch in at $250 to $270, so the UK figure does land inside that window. US pricing has not been announced.

The GDG-B100 is the first Mudman with a memory-in-pixel display. It has module 3587, measures 63.6 x 49.6 x 16.2 mm and weighs 66 g, with a Carbon Core Guard case in bio-based resin, 200 m water resistance and the mud- and dust-sealed buttons the line is named for. The red LED backlight is the trick, and Casio says the color helps preserve the eye's natural adaptation to the dark. Bluetooth handles time sync, phone notifications and a phone finder through the Casio Watches app, while an accelerometer counts steps and logs distance, speed, pace and calories across up to 100 runs.

What it does drop is the triple sensor. The 2023 GW-9500 Mudman had a compass, altimeter, barometer and thermometer and ran on Tough Solar; this one takes a CR2032 cell good for about two years instead. That makes this a second branch of the Mudman family — it also undercuts the GW-9500's $420 launch price by a big margin.
