Google launches the Stephen Curry Pixel Watch 5 in Satin Pyrite

Google has started selling the Stephen Curry special edition Pixel Watch 5, the one variant that buyers could not order when the range went on sale last month. It costs $579 through the Google Store and Amazon, and Google is offering it only while stocks last.
The special edition uses a 45mm case finished in Satin Pyrite, paired with a Google Performance Loop band in Rye that does not ship with the standard 41mm and 45mm models. The band carries a water-repellent coating meant to wick moisture away during hard workouts, and it adds Stephen Curry and #LockIn branding. Google has not changed the internal hardware, so buyers get the same watch underneath the finish.
At $579, the bundle sits $50 above a regular 45mm Pixel Watch 5 with LTE. A Performance Loop band on its own sells for $59 on the Google Store, which leaves buyers around $10 ahead if they wanted that band anyway. Anyone happy with the standard strap pays a premium for the colorway and the branding.
Google unveiled the Pixel Watch 5 last month alongside the Pixel 11 series, and the rest of the line reached shops on 20 August. The 41mm model starts at $399, the 45mm version costs $429, and the LTE variants run to $499 and $529, respectively. Every model runs Wear OS with the Google Health app as its native fitness platform.
The collaboration is not the first between Google and the NBA guard, since the company released a Curry-branded Fitbit Air earlier this year.
