Timex drops a new Snoopy-fied Marlin Jet automatic with a domed Hesalite crystal

Timex’s collaboration with Peanuts has given us plenty of memorable Snoopy watches. In August, everyone's favorite beagle popped up across Timex’s Expedition, Marlin, Waterbury, and MK1 collections. Now, Snoopy is back for another ride, this time aboard the retro-futuristic Marlin Jet.

The new Peanuts x Timex Marlin Jet Automatic Easy Rider (TW2Y81000) features the sunglass-clad Snoopy cruising across the silver-white dial on a motorcycle, with blue hour markers and matching hands adding a splash of color. Holding the piece to your wrist is a textured, 19mm blue fabric slip-through strap that’s double-layered for extra durability.

The watch uses the same retro-futuristic, bowl-shaped design that makes the Marlin Jet stand out, with a grooved bezel tucked beneath a domed crystal that covers the entire top of the case. The scratch-resistant Hesalite crystal gives the watch a vintage look and adds some visual depth to the dial. It also makes the watch look far more interesting from the side.

Inside the 38mm stainless-steel case is an unspecified automatic movement that winds itself as you wear the watch, with an exhibition window on the back letting you see the movement’s inner workings. The case measures 14mm thick and has a 44mm lug-to-lug distance. The water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The case combines brushed and polished finishes, and the watch weighs about 58 grams, keeping the package relatively manageable despite its 14mm profile.

A date window sits at 3 o’clock, and the 19mm double-layer fabric strap uses a slip-through design, making it relatively easy to swap for another strap if the blue one isn’t your thing.

If Snoopy isn’t your thing, Timex’s recently released Marlin Jet Chronographs are worth a look. They use a similar bowl-shaped dial and domed-crystal design for a lot less.
