Popular Snoopy x Timex mechanical watch returns at a lower UK price

The Peanuts x Timex Marlin Hand-Wound Snoopy Tennis watch is now available directly from Timex UK, and this time, collectors based in the country appear to be getting a particularly good deal. Timex’s official website currently lists the TW2V88800 for £210, well below the prices charged by the company in the US and continental Europe.

The same watch costs $359 (£263) on Timex's US store and €329 (£282) on Timex’s EU store. Essentially, the UK price comes noticeably below US and European prices. None of the three regional stores currently presents the watch as discounted, making the discrepancy particularly interesting.

The TW2V88800 itself has been around for a while as a part of Timex's Peanuts lineup, which includes SKUs such as the recently unveiled TW2Y85600. It combines the company's Marlin design with a green Snoopy tennis dial. Snoopy is depicted mid-serve, with a tennis racket serving as the minute hand and a rotating tennis ball acting as the sweep seconds indicator.

The watch features a polished gold stainless-steel case measuring 34 mm across and 10 mm thick, weighing just 34.4 g. A hand-wound mechanical movement through the crown is needed to keep the watch active.

Timex has fitted the TW2V88800 with an 18 mm brown natural-leather strap with contrast stitching and quick-release spring bars to facilitate easy hot-swapping without tools. The supplied band can accommodate wrist circumferences between 150 and 205 mm.

Timex has also fitted the Marlin with an acrylic crystal rather than mineral glass or sapphire. Water resistance is limited to 30 metres.
