Casio’s four new watches with ion-plated cases now available in more markets

Casio launched the MTP-VT06 series in Japan in June 2026. Now, the Japanese manufacturer has officially unveiled the MTP-VT06 series watches in the Indian market. The lineup includes a total of four models, namely MTP-VT06L-1B, MTP-VT06L-7B, MTP-VT06D-1B, and MTP-VT06D-7B—each priced at ₹4,995 (~$52.42). However, Casio has not provided any information regarding the US availability of these watches.
Design-wise, the Casio MTP-VT06L-1B and the MTP-VT06L-7B models are available in white dial colorways, while the MTP-VT06D-1B and the MTP-VT06D-7B watches come in black dial colorways. Interestingly, Casio offers strap and bracelet options as well. Speaking more precisely, you can either choose from a crocodile-embossed leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp.
The MTP-VT06 features a 43 mm case, measuring 8 mm (0.31 inch) in thickness and weighing 37 grams (0.081 lbs) with a leather strap and 78 grams (0.17 lbs) with a stainless steel band.
The white dial has blue hands and hour markers, while the black version ships with silver-finished hardware. Both dials are adorned with three subdials (date, day, and 24-hour) positioned at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. A single SR621SW powers the entire unit, which is said to offer two years of battery life.
There is a flat mineral crystal on top of the dial, which provides basic scratch resistance. The accuracy of the Japanese quartz module is rated at 20 seconds per month. Casio provides a basic daily-use water resistance for the MTP-VT06 series. Unfortunately, there’s no dedicated depth rating.
