Casio's Bluetooth-equipped F-B100W finally available in more markets

The hotly anticipated Casio F-B100W has finally received a wider international release after its initial launch in Japan earlier this month. The UK was the first market outside Japan to get the new Bluetooth-equipped watch, and now Casio is finally bringing it to Europe.

The F-B100W-1A, which features an all-black design with a blue ring around the dial, is now officially listed on Casio’s websites in several European countries, including Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and Portugal. The watch is priced at €59.90 and is currently listed as “coming soon”. General sales should begin within the next week or two, although Casio hasn’t provided a concrete release date yet. The UK launch followed a similar pattern before the watch went on sale.

There’s clearly plenty of demand for the new lineup, and Casio appears to be taking a cautious approach to the international rollout. Of the three models that debuted in Japan, only the black F-B100W-1A is coming to continental Europe for now. The UK notably received two models, including the teal F-B100W-3A.

The F-B100W has quickly become one of the most sought-after entry-level Casio watches. The lineup sold out within hours of going on sale in Japan, helped by its familiar F-91W-inspired design and a surprisingly long list of modern features.

The F-B100W keeps the compact, lightweight formula of the F-91W but adds Bluetooth and a built-in motion sensor. It can track steps, display an hourly activity graph, set daily step goals, and send activity data to Casio’s WATCHES app. Bluetooth also enables automatic time adjustment and access to roughly 300 world time cities.

Despite adding the extra tech, the F-B100W still maintains a tiny footprint, weighing just 26g. However, the addition of Bluetooth and other features means the battery life is not as impressive as the F-91W. The watch is said to run for around two years on a standard CR2016 battery compared to 7 years promised by the F-91W—which is still better than a smartwatch that needs to be charged every night or every few days.
