New affordable Casio F-B100W watches launch with Bluetooth step tracking, preorders live

The F-91W's (curr. $25 on Amazon) silhouette has survived basically unchanged since 1991: it is sold everywhere and worn by everyone from skaters to famous people. Casio has tweaked the shape at the margins over the years (recycled straps, translucent cases) but it never touched what made it work. The F-B100W, previously leaked and now officially listed on Casio Japan ahead of an August 2026 release, is the first version to actually add something functional: Bluetooth.

Three colorways are confirmed — F-B100W-1AJF and -1BJF, both black with very subtle differences in case and strap finish, and F-B100W-3AJF in a muted sage green — all priced identically at ¥8,800, or roughly $55. That undercuts the estimated $70-100 range, which surfaced when the design first leaked through Casioblog renders.

Bluetooth is easily one of the biggest selling points here. A built-in sensor counts steps, displays daily totals on the LCD, and logs a running "life log" history through Casio's companion app. Users can set step targets anywhere from 1,000 to 50,000 in 1,000-step increments, get nudged by a step-reminder alert if they've been sedentary too long, and check an hourly activity graph without opening the phone at all — on top of automatic time correction and access to roughly 300 cities' worth of world time. The case gets the F-91 proportions — 41.9 x 38.1 x 8.8 mm and just 26 grams — with a plastic-glass crystal and a resin strap made partly from biomass plastic.

Battery life is rated around two years, and Casio lists the watch as water-resistant "for everyday use" rather than giving it a formal ATM figure, which is worth mentioning for anyone who expects the usual bar rating on a Casio this size. All three references are open for preorder now on Casio Japan's site, with shipping slated for August, similar to this Casio Pro Trek model.
