Casio launches two new vintage watches with Bluetooth step tracking

The ABL-100WE-series watches have now been officially listed on Casio UK. The Japanese manufacturer has listed two models under the ABL-100WE series, namely the ABL-100WE-2A and the ABL-100WE-7A. The former has a black finish on the case, while the latter ships with a silver finish. Despite the subtle differences in case finish, both models are paired with the same multi-row stainless steel bracelet with adjustable clasp.
The ABL-100WE-2A and the ABL-100WE-7A are priced at £70 each. However, it’s worth noting that these watches are currently listed as "available soon." Though, buyers can sign up on Casio’s website to be notified when the watch becomes available. The key highlight of these digital watches is Bluetooth. There’s a built-in motion sensor, which automatically tracks daily steps and displays daily totals on the LCD.
On top of these features, the ABL-100WE has Casio companion app support, which further allows you to tweak watch settings through the app. Plus, you can also monitor your data in the app. Dimensionally, it’s slightly slimmer than Casio’s newly announced classic F-B100W watch. Speaking more precisely, the ABL-100WE measures 8.2 mm (0.32 inch) in thickness. In contrast, the F-B100W comes with 8.8 mm (0.34 inches) thickness. At 60 grams (0.13 lbs), the watch is slightly on the heavier side compared to the F-B100W, primarily because of its stainless steel bracelet.
Casio lists the watch as water-resistant, meaning it can handle everyday splashes and rain but isn’t suitable for swimming or diving. The other highlights of the watch include a 2-year battery, dual time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, 5 daily alarms, a full auto calendar (to year 2099), and an LED backlight with afterglow.
