The upcoming Casio Pro Trek PRJ-B001EX will feature a unique zippered pouch design.
New leaked images give us a better look at Casio's Pro Trek PRJ-B001EX, confirming its strap is a full zippered pouch that encloses the watch, plus specs like Tough Solar, Bluetooth, and a light 44 g build ahead of an August release.

If you remember the Casio Pro Trek with the coin pocket built into the strap, which we covered off a Vietnamese retailer listing a while back, the whole "campsite cash storage" pitch sounded a little out there without much to actually look at. Thankfully, there's more to look at now.

A new batch of leaked (but somewhat low-res) images, again via @geesgshock on Instagram, gives the PRJ-B001EX-1 a proper visual. It confirms that the strap really is exactly what it sounded like: a zippered cuff pouch built right into the band, big enough to enclose the entire watch face when folded over, not just hold a couple of coins on the side. One shot shows the watch tucked fully inside the strap like it's zipped into its own little sleeping bag. It's a genuinely different way to think about strap design.

Specs-wise, not much has changed from what we already knew, but a few things are now near-confirmed (instead of estimated): Tough Solar, Bluetooth, and a case coming in at 50.3 x 46 x 13.6 mm. It's light enough at 44 grams - it's can easily disappear on the wrist when the pouch isn't in use.

There is one thing worth chewing on. @geesgshock raised a fair point in their post — this coin-pocket idea feels more suited to something like the G-Squad line than the Pro Trek. A hiker doesn't usually need pocket storage for spare change; someone navigating a city more plausibly does. Whether Casio agrees or just liked the concept enough to slot it into whatever line was next in the pipeline is anyone's guess.

Release is still pointing to August, and pricing is still a mystery.
