Casio's latest G-Shock collab has a $3,500 Corvette to thank for its look

Casio has unveiled a particularly eye-catching take on its classic DW-6900, created with Bay Area rapper Larry June and his lifestyle brand, Midnight Organic. The limited-edition DW6900MO26-4 is finished almost entirely in bright orange.
The color comes from the custom interior of June's 1987 Chevrolet Corvette, which he calls "Tropical Guts." June bought the car for just $3,500 in 2018 after spotting it parked beside a road in Pacifica, California. Its stock silver and grey metallic exterior contrasts with the vivid orange cabin, making it one of the most recognizable symbols of the rapper's self-described "laid-back luxury" lifestyle.
G-Shock has carried that same contrast over to the watch, with metallic elements around the dial and a silver-colored metal keeper inspired by the Corvette's exterior, paired with a resin bezel and strap in a heavy dose of orange. The design keeps the familiar DW-6900 silhouette, including its three circular indicators and oversized front-mounted light button, with Midnight Organic branding above the display and "1991" printed along the strap.
The case back carries an engraving of Midnight Organic's circular "1991, You're Doing Good" emblem. Pressing the light button goes a step further, lighting up the display with a custom red "Good Job!" message. Even the packaging carries the same bright colorway and "You're Doing Good" artwork.
Underneath the collaboration details, the watch keeps the standard G-Shock feature set: shock resistance, water resistance to 200 metres, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, a multifunction alarm, a Super Illuminator LED backlight, and support for both 12- and 24-hour time formats.
The G-Shock DW6900MO26-4 is priced at $170. Sales begin through Midnight Organic on July 24, before expanding to G-Shock's US website, its SoHo store, and select retailers on July 31. Casio has not yet announced pricing or availability for the UK, EU, or Australia.
