New compact Casio G-Shock watches revealed, featuring slim metal ring insets
A pair of unreleased Casio G-Shock watches has surfaced through a retailer listing in Vietnam, alongside a new Pro Trek model we reported on earlier today. These look like two brand-new launches under the GMA-P2110 line. The release-month tag on the listing indicates an August rollout as well. Neither Casio's official site nor its press channels have confirmed the watches yet, so pricing and a firm launch date are unconfirmed.
The two references, GMA-P2110B-1A and GMA-P2110B-5A, keep the compact octagonal case and slim metal ring inset that are a staple of the GMA-P2110 series, and come with single-color treatments: a black-on-black version and an earthy brown colorway with a matching bezel and dial. The retailer's product copy describes the look as an "urban, refined" style.
Build-wise, the bezel and band reportedly use bio-based resin. Both watches are listed with the 5730 module, the same one found in current GMA-P2110 pieces, bringing a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, five daily alarms, an hourly chime, and a full auto-calendar good until 2099. A hand-shift function moves the analog hands aside to clear the digital sub-display when needed, and world time covers 31 zones across 48 cities. Casing works out to 46.0 x 40.5 x 11.3 mm at 37 grams, with a CR1025 battery rated for roughly three years and monthly accuracy within 15 seconds.
Given the source is a single overseas retailer rather than an official Casio listing, the August timing and final specs should be treated as provisional until Casio's own channels confirm them.
