Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active leaks as $45 wearable with 14 days of battery life
After the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active was spotted in several regulatory databases back in May, Winfuture has now published the first images and details about the features of this affordable wearable. According to the report, the wearable will hit the market "soon" at a price of around €40 (approx. $45).
This makes the list price of the Smart Band 11 Active even lower than that of the older Xiaomi Smart Band 10 ($49 on Amazon). However, buyers of this model will have to settle for an LCD display instead of an AMOLED one. Specifically, Xiaomi is said to be equipping the device with a 1.47-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 172 pixels. The wristband supports an always-on display, though this is said to reduce battery life from 14 to nine days. A full charge of the 300 mAh battery is expected to take about two hours.
The wristband, which is approximately 10.2 millimeters thick and weighs 16.5 grams, features a heart rate and SpO2 sensor as well as an accelerometer. This allows the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active to support over 50 sports modes, and the wearable is also said to be capable of tracking sleep and stress. The gadget is reportedly water-resistant up to 5 ATM, meaning this affordable smartwatch alternative can even be worn while swimming.
While a complete spec sheet isn’t available yet, this leak suggests that Xiaomi has omitted both an NFC chip for contactless payments and a GPS module to keep costs down. The wearable is expected to be available in white, pink, gray, and black. The exact launch date is not yet known, but it shouldn’t be long before it goes on sale.
