Casio's rumored heart rate sensor-enabled ring watch could be unveiled before end of July
Back in May, we covered a CMIIT filing for a Casio Ring Watch, the CRW-H001. The general guess was that the "H" pointed to a heart rate sensor similar to the one already used on Casio's G-Squad GBD-H2000 line. At the time, there was no teaser, no confirmation, or no info except a model number in a Chinese regulatory database.
Now, that has changed. Casio's China account has just posted a teaser image (see below), captioned "New Trend Alert! Something Cool is Coming Soon... Breaking boundaries right at your fingertips... Redefining how you wear accessories," with a reveal date set for July 29. The teaser itself shows a shadowed, ring-shaped silhouette with a small red glint on one side, which is very similar in shape to Casio's existing ring watches.
This also tracks with what Instagram leaker @geesgshock had flagged as well. He tied the timing directly back to the same May filing and treating it as effectively confirmed that the reveal is the CRW-H001.
For context, Casio's original CRW-001 ring watch, released in late 2024 for the brand's 50th anniversary, sold out repeatedly and got restocked multiple times, including as recently as July 2025 in the US. It features dual time zones, a 1/100th-second stopwatch, and an LED backlight, but no health tracking of any kind.
If the H001 does get a heart rate sensor, it'd put Casio in a smart ring category that's dominated by health-first accessories (like the Oura Ring 4, curr. $399 on Amazon) with barely any timekeeping function. Details should become clear this coming Wednesday (July 29).
