The Circular Ring 3 Pro marks the launch of one of Oura’s most exciting competitors to date, as the smart ring features not only advanced health features but also an NFC chip for contactless payments and a vibration motor. The Circular Ring 3 Air sacrifices some features in favor of a thinner design.

The Oura Ring 5 ($399 on Amazon) faces new competition, as Circular has unveiled two new rings. The Circular Ring 3 Pro looks almost identical to the older Circular Ring 2, but is said to offer even more advanced features. The most notable new feature is the NFC chip, which allows for contactless payments using the ring.

A vibration motor enables the ring to alert you to important reminders and serve as a silent alarm clock. Circular also aims to outperform most competitors in terms of health features, as the Ring 3 Pro offers a heart rate sensor, SpO2 sensor, and skin temperature sensor, as well as a built-in ECG. In addition, it is designed to track blood pressure and blood sugar trends. However, these features provide only rough estimates and are by no means a substitute for dedicated monitoring devices.

The Circular Ring 3 Pro achieves a battery life of twelve days. The Circular Ring 3 Air features a significantly thinner case but does not include ECG functionality. Its battery is slightly smaller, resulting in a battery life of only ten days. However, the thinner ring also features a vibration motor and an NFC chip. Both rings feature a titanium and stainless steel case that is water-resistant up to 5 ATM and are available in U.S. ring sizes 6 through 14.

Sales begin in 2027

Both the Circular Ring 3 Pro and the Circular Ring 3 Slim are not expected to ship until early 2027. Further details regarding the start of pre-orders and pricing are expected to be confirmed in the "coming months."
