Japanese retailers are listing early September for the next Casio F-B100W delivery, though back-orders mean unreserved stock may not even show up until late in the month. Obon holiday closures were responsible for stalled distribution after launch.

Japanese watch retailers have started posting restock dates for Casio's popular F-B100W. As per reports, the earliest useful window is later than the stock itself arrives.

Great G-Shock World reported on Sunday (August 23) that multiple Japanese shops are now listing early September for the next delivery. The blog does caution however that those units are largely spoken for — stores have accumulated back-orders since launch, and estimates that unreserved stock is unlikely to surface before late September.

Preorders opened previously on 1 August and cleared within days; the watch went on sale on 7 August, days before Obon, Japan's mid-August holiday period. Casio's own operations paused for the break exactly when the point demand needed servicing, and distribution stalled alongside. A small quantity did reappear on Casio's official online store once the holiday ended, according to the blog, but is no longer listed.

The Japanese enthusiast blog describes the F-B100W as the most in-demand Casio watch currently on sale in Japan, even above the G-Shock range. However, please keep in mind that this is the blog's assessment rather than a sales figure, and Casio usually publishes no unit numbers. Also, the source mentions an inversion worth noting. Ahead of major Japanese holidays, Casio has sometimes pushed inventory into the market (instead of holding it). Usually, this makes back-ordered references briefly easier to buy. However, that didn't happen here.

The F-B100W features the F-91W's case with Bluetooth and a motion sensor, feeding a monthly life log in Casio's Watches app that tracks step and calorie totals against user-set goals. It launched in Japan at ¥8,800 and reached the UK at £55 on 17 August, where the black reference has since sold out — read more about that here.
