Casio’s new Pro Trek analog watch with Tough Solar finally arrives in the US

Following the Japan launch, Casio has now officially listed its new Pro Trek PRJ-01AE-8J watch on its US website. Interestingly, this is the first fully analog watch in the Pro Trek lineup, featuring a straightforward three-hand analog design. There’s no LCD screen, triple sensors, connected features, or an extra subdial.
To recall, Casio listed three variants on its Japanese store, namely, the PRJ-01-1J, the PRJ-01AE-7J, and the PRJ-01AE-8J. Unfortunately, Casio only brings the PRJ-01AE-8J model to the US. It remains to be seen whether Casio will list the remaining two models or not. As for price, the PRJ-01AE-8J is priced at $230. It’s worth noting that the model is currently listed as available soon in the US. Buyers can sign up on Casio’s website to be notified when the watch becomes available.
The Casio Pro Trek PRJ-01AE-8J features a bio-based resin case, measuring 39.1 mm wide and 11.6 mm (0.45 inch) in thickness. At just 32 grams (1.12 ounces), the watch is quite lightweight. Finished in dark grey, the white dial of the watch is adorned with hour markers, a date display, and thin seconds and wide hour and minute hands.
Other features include Tough Solar, 100-meter (10 bar) water resistance, and a low battery alert. Furthermore, the analog watch also comes with a carabiner strap that can be easily taken on or off. Plus, it comes with the white phosphorescent dial for easy reading in low-light conditions.
