Two new affordable Casio retro watches now available in more markets
Following the Japan launch, Casio has officially launched the Casio A130WE-3A and the A130WE-9A watches in the Indian market. As for price, both watches are priced at ₹4,495 (~$46.95) each. Interested buyers can directly purchase these watches from Casio India’s official store.
The Casio A130WE-3A features a green dial, while the A130WE-9A ships with a cream/offwhite finish. Despite different appearances, both watches feature a square-shaped resin case paired with a stainless steel bracelet adjustable between 150-205 mm. Speaking of dimensions, the case measures 9 mm (0.35 inches) in thickness and weighs around 54 grams (0.119 lbs).
The Casio A130WE-series watches run on a CR1616 cell, which is said to offer approx. 3 years of battery life. There is a resin glass on top of the watch, which provides basic scratch resistance. Practical features include world time across 48 cities, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, 5 daily alarms, a full auto calendar (up to 2099), and an LED backlight with adjustable afterglow.
The accuracy of these watches is rated ±30 seconds a month. Unfortunately, Casio’s latest retro-futuristic watches feature basic daily-use water resistance. There’s no dedicated depth rating. Both watches can display time in 12 or 24-hour formats and support up to four simultaneous world time zones. It remains to be seen when Casio will launch these two watches in the US.
