Casio launches five new colorful MTP watches with striking arabesque dials

Casio is continuing to experiment with interesting designs for its MTP collection. After unveiling five colorful MTP-E740 watches with transparent dials inspired by the 1970 Seiko Time Sonar, the Japanese watchmaker is back with another eye-catching collection featuring a beautiful arabesque geometric pattern.

The new MTP-E735AR series is now up on Casio's International website, with five colorful options on offer, ranging from black (MTP-E735AR-1AV) and ice blue (MTP-E735AR-2A1V) to royal blue (MTP-E735AR-2A2V), vibrant teal blue (MTP-E735AR-2A3V), and a silver-toned dial (MTP-E735AR-7AV) with blue accents. All five come equipped with a 44.5 x 37.5 x 8.4mm stainless steel case and an integrated stainless bracelet with an adjustable clasp.

An intricate, repeating arabesque pattern covers the dial, with sweeping curls and geometric shapes creating a rich texture. Another highlight is the applied Eastern Arabic numerals that circle the dial.

We can also see faceted sword-style hour and minute hands featuring luminescent center strips, along with a slender needle-style central seconds hand. A day-date display sits at 3 o'clock, with the day available in either English or Arabic. The “WATER RESIST 50M” text is printed above 6 o'clock, while the Casio logo appears at 12 o'clock.

Inside, these are straightforward quartz watches with a three-year battery life from an SR920SW cell and stated accuracy of ±20 seconds per month. Other highlights include mineral glass protection on the dial and up to 50 meters of water resistance, which adds enough everyday durability.

Pricing & Availability

Currently listed on Casio’s international website, the five MTP-E735AR watches are set to roll out globally sometime in September. Casio hasn’t revealed pricing and exact availability yet. But, as is usually the case, the new lineup will likely land in Japan first before making its way to international markets.
