Citizen’s two new affordable Eco-Drive watches now available in more markets

Citizen has unveiled two new Eco-Drive timepieces, the EW1277-15A and the EW1273-08A, in the UK. As for price, the former is priced at £149.00, while the latter costs £169. Buyers can now purchase both watches directly from Citizen UK’s official website. Appearance-wise, the EW1277-15 A has a silver-tone stainless steel case paired with a pink leather strap.
On the other hand, the EW1273-08A is slightly different, featuring a gold-tone stainless steel case complemented by a light brown leather strap. However, the difference between the two timepieces is cosmetic. Speaking more precisely, they are limited to the case and the strap; that’s it. Otherwise, the rest of the hardware remains the same in both watches.
You get the same white-finish dial in the EW1277-15A and the EW1273-08A models. The dial of the watch is adorned with a standard black Arabic numeral, a date window, and three analog hands. The only difference is that all three analog hands feature the same color as the case finish. Despite costing more than £149, there is a mineral glass on top of the dial, which offers basic scratch resistance.
Furthermore, both models are powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology, which charges from any light source—natural or artificial—so there’s no need for battery replacements. The watches also offer 30 m (3 bar) water resistance, meaning they can withstand normal water splashes. It’s worth noting that they aren’t built to be worn while swimming or snorkeling.
