Citizen's Eco-Drive Weekender Avion has dropped to $174 on Amazon, roughly $50 below where it has sold for most of this year. The reference is BM7550-52L, the blue-dial version on a steel bracelet. Amazon shows a 54% discount against a $375 list price, but the more useful comparison is against the watch's own history: a 90-day average of $223.79 and a 180-day average of $225.49. The current figure is stilll $17 above the all-time low of $156.76, recorded last November, and well under the $375 the listing briefly reached in July.

Price movement on this reference is pretty frequent. Keepa logs an average of five drops a month, so $174 is not a one-off event, though it is definitely at the deeper end of the range.

The case is 43 mm across and 12 mm thick. It comes in brushed and polished stainless steel, resting on a 22 mm bracelet closing with a fold-over clasp and safety release. A printed compass scale runs around the bezel, and the crystal is spherical mineral rather than sapphire (the main concession at this price). The blue dial has orange accents, luminous hands and hour markers, and a date window at four o'clock. Water resistance is 100 m.

Power comes from Citizen's E111 Eco-Drive caliber, which can charge from any light source and does not need a battery. The watch carries a five-year limited warranty. You can extend that by another year on registration with Citizen.
