The Citizen BJ6570-50E with a black dial is priced at £229 (~$310). The two-tone BJ6574-59E and the yellow gold-tone BJ6572-54X both cost £249 (~$337).
Citizen's rectangular Dress Classic range is now on sale in the UK. The BJ6570-50E is priced at £229 (~$310) and the two-tone BJ6574-59E and gold-tone BJ6572-54X at £249 (~$337). All three use sapphire crystal, Eco-Drive and a 36 x 26.5 mm case with 50 m water resistance.

When the BJ6570-50E popped up on Zales' website in July ahead of any announcement, Citizen's own product photography included two versions that weren't for sale anywhere. Both have now appeared on Citizen UK, alongside the original.

The silver-tone BJ6570-50E with a black dial is priced at £229 (~$310). The two-tone BJ6574-59E and the yellow gold-tone BJ6572-54X (the latter carrying a sunray red dial), both cost £249 (~$337). All three are listed as available with next-day delivery.

The pricing is interesting, to say the least. Zales had the BJ6570-50E at $450, and there was a general expectation that the price might change before launch. The UK price converts to roughly $308, and comes down to about £191 once VAT is stripped out of the equation. Citizen hasn't confirmed US pricing, so whether $450 was a placeholder or reflects an actual regional gap is still open. However, the gap is still wide enough to be worth waiting on if you're buying in America.

The case is the same across the range: 36 mm tall by 26.5 mm wide in stainless-steel, with sapphire crystal and 50 meters of water resistance. Roman numerals are applied and not printed. Each version runs a seven-link bracelet with a fold-over clasp and push buttons. Citizen files the range under Dress Classic and describes it as "a study in classic proportions".

Power comes from Eco-Drive. The watch can charge from any light source, so you don't need battery replacements. The movement is three-hand with no date. That leaves the dial uninterrupted. It's a sensible design choice on a face this narrow, since a date window would have just crowded the layout.
